How patterns are found, what confidence means, and experiments.

How a pattern is found
For each trigger (dairy, sugar, alcohol, short sleep, high stress, a new product, a cycle phase) Skinory compares the days you were exposed to it with the new spots that followed inside that trigger's lag, against ordinary days. It is plain statistics on your own data, not an AI guess.
Confidence
- Strong: many exposure days, a clear difference, few other explanations.
- Moderate: a real difference, but fewer days or a wider spread.
- Early: something is showing up, keep logging before acting on it.
"No strong pattern yet" is a real answer. It means the data was checked and nothing stood out, not that the app gave up.
When two triggers travel together
If dairy and sugar share most of their days, Skinory says so instead of blaming one. An experiment is the way to separate them.
Experiments
From an insight card, start a 14-day pause on that trigger. The fortnight before is frozen for comparison. One experiment at a time. Stopping early is fine and is not a verdict.
How often it updates
Analysis runs when you open the tab after a week, and after "Finish today" lands your fifth complete day. Days you never finished are treated as unknown, never as "nothing happened".
